Jemima Stehli
Jemima Stehli's (b.1961) work explores themes of sexuality and the gaze, working with sculpture, photography and performance, often using her naked body.
Jemima Stehli lives and works in London and South Devon. She received her BA Honours Fine Art at Goldsmith’s College in 1983, and her MA Fine Art from Goldsmith’s in 1991.
Solo exhibitions include Marlborough Gallery, London; 1961 Projects, Singapore; Focal Point Gallery, Southend; Artra, Milan; Galerie Bernd Kluser, Munich; Lisboa 20, Lisbon; Centro de Arte Visuais, Coimbra; Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver; Chisenhale Gallery, London; and City Racing, London. Group shows include exhibitions at Serralves Museum, Porto; Centro Cultural de Belem, Lisbon; Tate Modern, London; Centre de La Photographie, Geneva; Musee d’Art Moderne et d’Art Contemporain, Nice; South London Gallery, London and the ICA, London.
